David Belnap

David Belnap

David Belnap received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1995 and took a post-doctoral position at the National Institutes of Health from 1995-2000. He is currently a part of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at BYU as an assistant professor.

Barry Bickmore

Barry Bickmore

Barry Bickmore received his B.S. in Geology, Magna Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University in 1994. He later obtained his Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from Virginia Tech in 1999. He is currently working as an associate professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at BYU.

William Christensen

William Christensen

William Christensen received his B.S. and M.S. in Statistics from Brigham Young University in 1994 and 1995, respectively. After which, he completed his Ph.D. in Statistics from Iowa State University in 1999. He has received both the University Teaching Excellence Award and Dan Mowrey Consulting Excellence Award from Iowa State University, in 1997 and 1999 respectively. He also received the Young Scholar Award from Brigham Young University in 2005. He is currently a professor in the Department of Statistics.

Scott Glasgow

Scott Glasgow

Scott Glasgow received his B.S. in Physics from BYU in 1988. He then went on to receive his Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the University of Arizona in 1993, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. He accepted a position at BYU in the Department of Mathematics in 1997.

Scott Grimshaw

Scott Grimshaw

Scott Grimshaw received his B.S. in Mathematics from Southern Utah State College in 1983. He then enrolled at Texas A&M University where he received his M.S. in Statistics in 1985, and his Ph.D. in Statistics in 1989. He joined the College of Management Science and Statistics at the University of Maryland in 1989 before joining the Department of Statistics here at BYU in 1993, where he is currently a Professor and Associate Chair for the department.

Jeffrey Humpherys

Jeffrey Humpherys

Jeffrey Humpherys received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Indiana University in 2002 and was an Arnold Ross Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University from 2002-2005, before joining the faculty at Brigham Young University in 2005. Since then, Jeff has won several grants from the National Science Foundation, including a CAREER award in 2009. He also received the Young Scholar Award from Brigham Young University in 2009. Jeff has published papers in partial differential equations, operations research, applied probability, numerical analysis, and dynamical systems theory. Since 1999, he has served as a technical and scientific consultant for several companies, particularly businesses specializing in information technology, financial services, and manufacturing.

W. Evan Johnson

W. Evan Johnson

W. Evan Johnson received his B.S. in Mathematics from Southern Utah University in 2002, M.S. in Statistics from Brigham Young University in 2003, and M.A. in Biostatistics from Harvard University in 2006. Continuing his education further, he obtained his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Harvard University in 2007. In 2007, he began working for Brigham Young University's Department of Statistics as an Assistant Professor and also began as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncological Sciences at the University of Utah in 2008.

Shane Reese

Shane Reese

Shane Reese received his B.S. and M.S. in Statistics from Brigham Young University in 1994 and 1995 respectively. He then continued his education by obtaining his Ph.D. in Statistics from Texas A&M University in 1999. He received both the Connor Award and University Distinguished Graduate Student from Texas A&M University in 1999. He also received the Young Scholar Award from Brigham Young University from 2004-7, was the Brigham Young University Department of Statistics Honored Faculty Member in 2002 and received the Department Chair's Outstanding Paper Award in 2005.

Dennis Tolley

Dennis Tolley

Dennis Tolley received his B.S. in Statistics from Brigham Young University in 1970 and, Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina in 1974 and his A.S.A. in Actuarial Sciences from the Society of Actuaries in 1981. He received the Honors Professor of the Year award at Brigham Young University in 2000 and was awarded the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award for Ten or more years of service at Brigham Young University in 2003.

Jessica Irwin

Jessica Irwin

Jessica is originally from Kaysville, Utah and is a senior at BYU. She is currently in the Masters of Accounting Program, with an empahsis in Tax. After graduating, she plans to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Irvine, California. She began working for the IMPACT program in 2009 and is looking forward to learning new skills and going through new experiences.
